The CSIR, a multidisciplinary science and technology research council, meets the very highest scientific standards and harnesses science and technology in the service of national development. It is part of a concerted national effort to direct our scientific resources towards the aim of providing a better life for all our people, said the Minister of Science and Technology. This report highlights the performance and achievements of the CSIR in the year 2013/14. An outline of the annual financial statements is also presented in the report.
