A nitrogen-enriched metallophthalocyanine, Cobalt (II)tetrapyrazinoporphyrazine (CoTPyzPz), modified with acid or phenylamine functionalized multiwalled carbon nanotubes
(MWCNTaf and MWCNTPhNH2) have been studied for application as an electrochemical capacitor in H2SO4. Both MWCNTaf/CoTPyzPz
and MWCNTPhNH2/CoTPyzPz gave superior specific capacitance of 1984 and 2028 F.g-1 respectively. This high capacitance is interpreted in terms of protonation and deprotonation of the porphyrazine
macrocycle. |
