dc.description.abstract |
Natural product research has been a major component of the CSIR's bioscience activities for its entire history, and particularly in the 1960s and 1970s. This type of work is also strongly aligned with one of the objectives of the CSIR, namely to develop the country's natural resource. This poster is a short summary of the research, including the identification of drug leads, characterisation of food spoilage organisms and toxin, especially mycotoxins, and rumen digestion. It describes some of the main discoveries and attempts to link these outputs with their broader impact |
