The adoption of Additive manufacturing (AM) in South Africa has grown significantly, with more industries investing and investigating the possibility of adoption to their operations. Some of these industries are the railway and mining industries, following the wider demands in the aerospace markets. This paper demonstrates some of the developments that has happened recently, what these industries are investigating, how they go about it, and how they can possibly benefit from adopting the technology.
