dc.description Chapter published in Climate Risk and Vulnerability: A Handbook for Southern Africa (2nd edition) en_US
dc.description.abstract Southern Africa has multiple risks that contribute to the overall burden of disease (i.e. the quadruple burden of disease), which may make people more vulnerable to the health impacts from climate change. In addition, the sector is vulnerable as the links between climate and health are not well-quantified, and thus difficult to predict the impact. This chapter provides some examples of the breadth of issues concerned in climate change and human health. en_US
